The cover of FYI, a supplement to Jacksonville's newspaper, the Florida Times-Union, announcing the search for the lost French Fleet!

We've recently had some more news stories out on our ongoing search for the lost French fleet of Jean Ribault. Shortly after our first week of survey we were interviewed by Jessica Clark of First Coast News. You can see the video here, its a really great newstory!

The research vessel of the Institute of Maritime History, the Roper, will be our search boat for the expedition to find the lost French ships of Jean Ribault.

Keep on coming back to our blog for more updates on the project! We have been blogging from the boat, but they won't go "live" until the close of fieldwork, at the request of the National Park Service to help protect the security of any shipwrecks in our search area. So stay tuned!
